About Us

Rise Academy Of Fine Arts
The aim of R.I.S.E. Academy of Fine Arts is to create drama and all things fine arts, which not only entertains, but has a transformative quality, for every audience member or student, inspiring them to “rise, take courage, and do it”.

Whether to challenge or inspire each semester, we continue to push the parameters with a dynamic, faith led, encouraging, and inspiring approach, that gives Glory to God, in all we do.

We want to strive to provide a Christ centered place, for all students to come, and be a part of learning performing arts skills, as well as seeing God as a part of all facets of the program.

What does a R.I.S.E. Show Week Look Like:

Show week looks a little different, than a normal practice day. We would meet at the church facility Monday and Tuesday afternoons for tech rehearsals. We would then meet on Wednesday mornings for finishing touches, and to get ready for full dress rehearsals. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday would be early AM meet for practice and preparation for an afternoon and evening performance; to be a total of 6 shows. On Saturday, after the final show R.I.S.E. staff, students and parents will be assigned clean up and tear down duties, so the church would be returned to the way we found it.

Audition Camp:

Audition Camp is a 2-day camp comprised of 4 hours per day. It is designed to help prepare students for the upcoming semesters show. It teaches them skills they will need to practice for auditions and, as an introduction to the upcoming musical. Monologue, Choreography, and Vocal audition materials will be provided to help them be better prepared for the upcoming audition.

Audition Day:

Audition day would consist of students coming in at certain assigned times, for their audition. Upon assessment by judges, they may then be called back for a second audition.

How would we bring God into our days at R.I.S.E.

Our mission is to show God in everything we do. Although R.I.S.E. does not always do a Christian based show, we do keep our shows family friendly. We find ways to incorporate things and lessons from the musical, to create lessons and devotions that reveal God in our productions. We will have a devotional time each Friday, before starting musical practice. We will pray before each class, and dismiss with a prayer, as well. Our hope is for students to see God working, in all facets of the program. We want to instill Christian views and values into all students, and especially those who do not know God in their lives.
